Meet James
Born in Dinwiddie and now known as Petersburg, Virginia James Curry is the man, voice and energy behind James "Blue" Curry, a unique and rare talent. He is a singer/musician (Percussion)/entertainer that is very popular in the Petersburg, Northern Virginia, Charlottesville, and Hampton Roads, DC and Maryland area. He has also expanded to Raleigh North Carolina.
This energetic, passionate and very talented solo act is great for festivals, weddings, corporate and private parties, country clubs,restaurants, retirement and assisted living communities. James is awesome at interacting during his shows.
James served in The United States Air Force for over 12 years and has been singing ever since. He started his professional career as a contestant on Showtime at the Apollo, also a former member of The Petersburg Gospel Singers.
He is a founding and former member of an R&B group called A Touch of Charm and has performed for over 40 years. He has opened for national recording artists such as The Pointer Sisters, The Manhattans, The Whispers, Betty Wright, Blue Magic, The O'Jays, Frankie Beverly and Maze, and the late Chuck Brown just to name a few.
James "Blue" Curry has entertained all over the state of Virginia (and elsewhere, Delaware, New Jersey, Maryland, DC and North Carolina) at area country clubs, wedding receptions, private parties, corporate and charity events, AARP, festivals and retirement and assisted living communities.
James is an energetic professional solo act, singer/percussionist/entertainer that will add fun and energy to your special event.
